Add ARK Bot to your Discord server
Discord opens an authorization screen where you pick a server, review the permissions ARK Bot requests, and confirm. No Discord login happens on this site.
Authorize with DiscordAuthorize → /settings → /setup-check
- Authorize with Discord
Use the Authorize with Discord button above to invite ARK Bot and confirm the permissions it requests. The person adding it needs Manage Server. If Discord cannot find the bot or the invite fails, ask the deployment operator to verify the application and bot availability.
- Configure this server
Run
/settingsas an administrator to pick channels and roles, then enable the workflows you want. - Verify access
Run
/setup-checkto inspect current cached access and missing setup. Cache results may be incomplete; an authorization screen is not proof that the bot is running.
Already invited ARK Bot?
Skip authorization. As a server administrator, run /settings to configure each module, then /setup-check to identify missing or unverifiable access. If commands do not appear, ask the bot operator to confirm the bot is online and that npm run deploy:commands completed for the correct Discord application.
Requested bot permissions
The invite requests only the permissions below. They cover ticket channels, message moderation, timeouts, bans, and bot posts. It does not request Administrator.
- View Channel — see the channels it is configured to use.
- Send Messages — post panels, replies, and workflow messages.
- Manage Channels — create private ticket channels.
- Read Message History — read context for transcripts and moderation.
- Manage Messages — remove messages for configured moderation workflows.
- Embed Links — render rich panels and status messages.
- Attach Files — attach transcripts and workflow files.
- Moderate Members — time out members for configured moderation workflows.
- Ban Members — ban members for configured moderation workflows.
The person adding the bot needs Manage Server; that is separate from the bot's permissions. Place the bot role above members it must time out or ban, and allow it access to each configured channel. You can omit permissions for features you do not use, but those features will not work.
After inviting
Run /settings as a server administrator to choose channels and roles, then enable the workflows you want. See the quick-start in the setup guide.
